El Conquistador Tennis ProgramsThe El Conquistador Tennis program (Resort and Country Club) offers a variety of tennis opportunities for players of all levels. Our program consists of private and semi-private lessons, clinics, match play, and organized tournaments for Resort groups. Private and Semi-private lessons:One hour and half- hour private and semi-private lessons are available by our staff of teaching professionals at either the Resort or the Country Club. Twenty-four hour-advanced notice is required* to guarantee lesson availability. (*Hotel Guests can be assured we will take care of their needs.) Refer to brochure for prices. Clinics:The El Conquistador offers a range of clinics throughout the week for adults. These clinics include all levels of play and cover every aspect of the game from technique to strategy to footwork. There is also a full range of junior programs for children between the ages of 3-18. These programs range from peewee level to competitive tournament players. These clinics take place throughout the week at both the Resort and the Country Club locations. Please refer to the brochure for further details. Clinics for groups of three or more may also be set up with a Pro at either the Resort or Country Club. Refer to schedule for lists of times and fees for specific clinics. **The El Conquistador also has the only Tennis program in Tucson for children with special needs Summer Camps:Summer Camps for Juniors run through June, July & mid- August. There are both morning and evening sessions available. The Summer Camper also has the option of participating in our plyometric and physical strength training class. Play before the heat, or while the sun goes down. All levels are welcome. Match Play:Singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches can be set up for guests staying at the hotel with either members of the country club or other hotel guests. Players can contact the tennis pro shop at the resort (ext. 1780) with times preferred and level of play. Resort Packages:A variety of resort packages are available to guests staying at the hotel. To guarantee the availability of these packages the reservations or front desk staff should contact Jennifer Fuchs prior to confirmation with package specifics (dates requested, number of people, and times desired). This is due to our heavy Tournament schedule. However, if the El Conquistador runs the Tournament we will always have a court set aside for the transient guest!! Group Tournaments:Group tournaments are also available upon guest request. A member of the professional tennis staff will set up and run the tournament. There is a variety of draw formats available. Fees include $20.00 per hour / per court and a $ 60.00 per hour* professional fee. (* Fee charged only for the duration of actual event.) Equipment Rentals:Racquet rentals are available at a cost of $4.50 per day Court fees are $20.00 per hour Ball machine rental is available at a cost of $30.00 per hour inclusive. Racquet stringing is also available with 24-hour service, delivery to room and a complete selection of string. Voice mails are checked every hour until 9 pm to ensure guest satisfaction. The El Conquistador tennis staff will be able to assist in any of the above tennis options for hotel guests. Pro Shop:The El Conquistador has two pro shop locations to offer guests complete resort vacation amenities and convenience. Our Pro Shops offer varieties of logo and sport clothing, shoes, sport equipment, and sport accessories.
