Jennifer Fuchs - Director of Tennis |
Jennifer has been the Director of Tennis since 1999 and is the Treasurer of the USTA/SW Section. A former world class touring pro, she has distinguished herself as an outstanding player. As a junior, Jennifer became the number one ranked player in the nation. Following her junior career, Jennifer played two years at UCLA, becoming a two time All-American. Having played all the major events and grand slams as a touring professional, Jennifer reached the round of sixteen in the Australian Open Doubles Championship. Along with her professional training and background, Jennifer brings a vibrant and enthusiastic teaching style to the tennis court. |
Chip Tidd - Instructor |
Chip has been teaching full-time in Tucson for nine years and has amazing enthusiasm and energy. Chip played collegiate tennis for Carleton College in Minnesota where he was named “Freshman of the Year.” He then transferred to the U of A in 2001 and decided to use his great personality and love and knowledge of tennis to inspire and teach others. Chip thoroughly enjoys working with players of all ages and levels. |
Jonathan Davis - Instructor |
Jonathan grew up in Tucson and Tennis has been a major part of his life since learning the game from his father, John Davis. After completing a very successful junior career, Jonathan went on to Eastern Washington University where he was pivotal in helping his team capture, for the first time in school history, the Big Sky Conference Championships. Jonathan continues to compete and has played on the SAZ Men’s 5.0 Championship team as well as the 9.0 Mixed Doubles SW Section Championship team. Jonathan is USPTA certified and brings an exciting approach to the El Conquistador. |
